The biggest change is a new "KANSAS CITY" wordmark on the road uniforms that is set in vertically arched varsity block letters. This replaces the script wordmark the club had used on its road uniforms since 2012.
The primary road grey uniform is grey with royal blue lettering and numbers. White piping has been removed from the striping at the sleeve cuffs and from around the names and numbers on the front and back of the jersey. The sleeve stripes have been thickened on all four uniforms.
The alternate road Royal uniform is royal blue with white lettering and numbers. Again, piping has been removed, this time the powder blue that used to feature on the sleeves and around the numbers. In the unveiling photos, Royals players are wearing the royal blue jersey with grey pants from the primary road set.
The primary home White uniform hasn't changed much from the previous iteration; it's still white with royal blue lettering and numbers. The piping on the sleeves has been updated and thickened to match other uniforms in the set.
The home alternate royal uniform retains the popular powder blue base, but does away with royal blue. The logos, letters and numbers are all white — including the TV number on the front, which used to be royal blue. Royal blue piping around the "ROYALS" script and on the sleeve stripes has been removed.
All four jerseys feature a patch with the team’s primary logo on the left sleeve. And all four are pictured in the unveiling paired with an unchanged cap that features a white interlocking "KC" monogram on a royal blue base.
